EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a research-supported therapy that helps people heal from traumatic memories and distressing life experiences. By combining mindful focus with gentle bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, tones, or tapping, EMDR enables the brain to reprocess stuck memories so they lose their emotional intensity.
In a typical EMDR session, you’ll recall a specific memory while following bilateral stimulation. Over time, the memory becomes less vivid and distressing, allowing for emotional relief and healthier perspectives. Many clients report noticeable progress within just a few sessions.
How EMDR Can Help
- Post-traumatic stress (PTSD) and trauma recovery
- Anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias
